I’m Courtney Praise Osborn, but you can call me Court… or Courtney. I’m 20 years old from Port Huron, Michigan. I was born in Bad Axe, Michigan, and people who have never heard of Bad Axe usually think I’m cursing at them when I first tell them the name of my hometown.
I have a lovely mother. She’s amazing. I have a dad who I don’t see much. I’m the oldest of three children. My brother is a little less than a year younger than me, and we’re very close. We don’t live together but we do a lot together. My little sister is 11, and she’s a funny one. I love her a lot.
I moved out of my mom’s house when I was 18 for college purposes. I just finished my sophomore year. I work fulltime for a U.S. Customs broker right across the border from Canada. My relationship with my job is a complicated one, but at the end of the day I couldn’t be more thankful for it.
Some would say I’m artsy fartsy, but don’t worry— I’m not a fruitcake. Okay, I’m a bit peculiar, but who isn’t? I love painting and sculpting and drawing, and the list goes on. I LOVE music— listening to it, writing it, playing it; it’s all gravy. I also enjoy writing, mostly creative writing, like poetry and short stories.
Most people who meet me for the first time think I’m a very serious person, but I’m not at all. I love to laugh, and I enjoy being around funny people. It usually surprises people who don’t know me very well when they hear of the shenanigans I pull from time to time. Sometimes I even shock people who do know me, probably because I generally think too hard about everything… but every now and then I just do something crazy on a whim, and no one ever sees it coming.
